How is SMS Nonwoven Fabric Produced By Nonwoven Machine and Its Application?

SMS non-woven fabric is made of spunbonded non-woven fabric + melt-blown non-woven fabric + spunbonded non-woven fabric three layers of hot rolled fiber mesh, belonging to composite non-woven fabric, it is spunbonded and melt-blown composite products, non-toxic and tasteless, efficient bacteria isolation. Through special treatment of the equipment, it can achieve anti-static, anti-alcohol, anti-plasma, water-repellent and water-producing properties.

The difference between spunbonded, melt-blown and SMS non-woven fabrics:
1.The difference in the production process
The production process of spunbonded non-woven fabric is very simple. All procedures are completed on the non - woven fabric production line. The steps are as follows:
Load the raw material PP into the silo and add the necessary additives.
The extruder dissolves and extrudes the material.
Filters remove impurities from PP solution.
The rotation system starts working. It spins and stretches the PP solution into long, thin fibers.
Form the filament into a net. They then produce the mesh into non-woven fabric by their own methods (bonding, thermal bonding, chemical bonding or mechanical reinforcement).
2.The melt-blow manufacturing process is shorter than that of spunbond:
Raw material PP automatically completes step 1 to Step 3.
PP is changed into a melt by extrusion.
The melt is filtered and measured by the pump before flowing into the spinning box.
In the spinning box, the spinning mold ejects the fibers. Hot, high-pressure air blows the fibers into long, thin fibers.
Melt - blown non - woven fabric is formed by roll and hot rolled out.

SMS non-woven fabrics can be produced in both spunbond and melt-blow processes. Spunbond and meltblow processes work independently before the mill. They are then integrated into a three-layer fiber, SMS non-woven fabric.

1.Spunbond non-woven fabric has the characteristics of moisture-proof, breathable, flexible, light weight and non-combustion. They are also non-toxic, non-irritating, environmentally friendly and recyclable. And colorful, low price.

2.Melt-blown non-woven fabric is very light, three fifths of the weight of cotton. It feels soft and comfortable. Melt-blown fabrics are waterproof, breathable and non-absorbent. Melt-blown cloth has good filterability, which is the demand of medical masks.

3.SMS non-woven fabrics have great advantages in water repellent. Spunbond nonwoven fabrics have durability and strength in wet or dry conditions, resistance to wear, resistance to cracking, and almost no moisture absorption. The inner layer of melt-blown cloth gives a soft touch and is waterproof.

SMS non-woven applications
SMS non-woven fabrics have a huge market. The final product usually varies depending on its thickness.
1.Thin SMS non-woven fabric (10-25gsm): Thin SMS products perform well in terms of water resistance and air permeability. They are especially suitable for the sanitary products market, such as sanitary napkins, sanitary pads, baby diapers, adult incontinence diaper side leakage and back lining,etc.
2.Medium thickness SMS non-woven fabric (25-50gsm):SMS products of medium thickness are suitable for use in medical products. They include scrubs, surgical kit cloths, surgical cloths and sterile bandages. After being treated with alcohol, blood, oil and antistatic, this non-woven fabric is ideal for high quality medical protective equipment. The cloth can also be used in overalls and protective clothing.
3.Thick SMS products (more than 55gsm):Thick SMS products are widely used as highly efficient filtration materials for a variety of gases and liquids. They are also highly efficient oil absorbers. They are used in industrial wastewater degreasing, Marine oil cleaning and industrial rags.
